What would anyone fight for
What would anyone fight for(MSN Live Spaces, Gaia and

There are plenty of ways to explain what one fights for
till you really feel the call and the need to fight for
the cause. The answer at the beginning may be abstract,
idealistic or objective. There are fights or causes
that are worth fighting for. Too many for a fact that I
find in increasingly busy and superficial and left the
details and long term planning a not too important part
of a cause to fight for. One cause that I find its a
difficult thing to address: children and mental health
all over the world.
A great deal of children are now living in or close to
poverty zone.
The World Bank defines poverty in absolute terms. The
bank defines extreme poverty as living on less than US$
(PPP) 1 per day, and moderate poverty as less than $2 a
day. It has been estimated that in 2001, 1.1 billion
people had consumption levels below $1 a day and 2.7
billion lived on less than $2 a day (from wikipedia)
Fighting poverty is uttermost important agenda to slow
down and stop the mental health crisis for over the past
40 years.
Unfortunately without the unity of goals and aims with
each agency and government and even with local
government differ, the fight of poverty becomes a
political talk of the day and later on it left the
radar.
Not meeting the basic needs like food, shelter, access
to health care services and safety are the violation of
human rights. Everyone are entitled to these basics
that were mentioned. Without these basics like access
to health services, our children are now becoming very
isolated, misunderstood, and lost in direction. Without
appropriate guide from us, adults and their peers at
school, we left the state of dysfunctional or lost
youths because we put our first impressions first and we
went ahead and judge and put forth assumptions of them.
We left our children without support or limited and grow
up with disarray. We do not have hindsight and that as
a result, problems from childhood will carry on to
adulthood. As a result, mental health education can and
must begin at youth.
